Ten Day Master Cleanser

Ingredients needed for 10 days of juice

  • 30 Lemons
  • 20 Limes
  • 10 330 ml bottles of Grade B/2 Amber Maple Syrup
  • 1 small pot of Cayenne Pepper
  • 1 small box of sea salt – must NOT be iodised

To make daily – 1.5 litres of Master Cleanse Juice

  • Squeeze 3 lemons and 2 limes and pour this juice into 1 litre of filtered water
  • Pour 1 bottle of Class B Maple Syrup into the filtered water and lemon/lime mix
  • Add 1 teaspoon of Cayenne Pepper or to taste
  • Chill in fridge

To make Salt Water Wash

  • Add 2 tablespoons of sea salt to 1 litre of filtered water

Prep before the fast

Do not eat any solids for two days before the fast. I eat soups and juices. You don’t want large amounts of solid matter in your lower colon when you start the salt water wash regime.

Daily schedule

Have a glass of juice whenever you fancy one and especially when you feel hungry. The 1.5 litres of mixture should last you all day. I find that I usually have a little left over.

Drink water whenever you fancy it too.

Leave an hour between a glass of juice and the saltwater wash.

In the evening down the 1 litre of salt water wash (thinking about this is making my head throb… the power of anchors!). I find it easier to take the task in two one pint chugs. It isn’t pleasant but it is something you become used to over the 10 days.

You will need about 90 minutes for the saltwater to pass through the body and wash out the other end..! Wrap up as the wash may cause the body to lose some temperature and you may feel a little shiver.

That’s it. For ten days…

If you drink, smoke or love a coffee in the morning you will probably have headaches for the first three to four days. This is probably the biggest challenge to overcome as you should not feel hungry. I have been able to keep up both gym and yoga regime through my past fasts. I felt no lack of energy.

Post Fast

Ease out of the fast with a day or two of soups and juices and then notice your urge to eat. Be careful not to over eat as your body may take the attitude that you have starved it for ten days and it’s time to pile on the pounds just in-case you do it again. Portion control is one of the regimes necessary for peak performance anyway so hopefully you will not be tempted to eat as much as you used to once you have finished the fast.
